A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that choosing water (or another noncaloric beverage) rather than carbonated beverages can lead to a pretty quick and easy weight loss. Researchers researchers found that when overweight and obese people replaced their high-calorie drinks with water, they were twice as likely to lose five percent or more of their body weight compared to their those who continued drinking soda. For the study, the researchers followed 318 obese people over six months and found that those who simply swapped two 8-ounce, 200-calorie beverages a day for water or other non-caloric beverages lost an average of five pounds.

Not too surprising.
Switching to water will knock out a whole lot of empty calories. 1 Super Big Glup filled with soda and 4 oz ice is 512 calories. That’s about 1/3 of the daily calorie requirements for most women who are trying to loose weight.
