What injury did you sustain?

I had a knee dislocation and was told I was gonna need knee surgery but since the orthoprdic saw that PT was working, I didn't need it and was off for 2 1/2 months. I went back; wasn't fully recovered but good enough to play.

How did it happen?

I was running to score and the goaley hit the side of my knee and it moved. we both collided. You should really wear a knee brace or something to protect it. I also think since I was playing on turf I should of worn turf shoes instead of regular cleats. your cleats could have gone caught in the turf. It swelled up it was gigantic huge!So immediatly i went to the doctor the next day then i got sent to the orthpedic i was told i neeeded PT and maybe surgery.

Tips and Tricks

  • Listen to what the therapist tells you.
  • Don't listen to anybody who has negative comments to tell you.
  • the key is to try to strenghten it as much as possible.
  • when u feel good enough to walk try to walk the treadmill to stay in shape.
  • Go at your own pace

What was your recovery like?

it felt like forever but having positive energy will help; don't sit and cry about it, it happens to every person.

How has your soccer game changed since the injury?

My first game back i was terrified but then I relaxed and started being aggresive.
