Impressions
If you need a gadget to help you get motivated to do push ups then this product might be for you. It's not for everyone, but it might be for those of you who can get excited about a variety of pre-set hand positions for doing push ups.My first impression of The Strength Builder was lukewarm. I liked the idea of the pre-set hand placements for doing a variety of styles of push up and liked the grip design because doing push ups on the floor can be tough on the wrists. Beyond that, I wasn't sure it was worth the $125 price tag.
The sturdy handles attached easily and the product was ready to use in seconds. I completed 20 push ups with the best form I'd used in awhile and rearranged the handles to try some different styles. I ran out of energy before I ran out of options.
Bottom Line
Things I liked about the product:
- It's stable.
- It allows great range of motion because it's raised up off the floor a bit.
- With the variety of handle positions you can get a thorough workout for the entire upper body and core.
Things I didn't like about the product:
- Too heavy to be portable.
- Can get the same options for a fraction of the price with basic Push Up Bars.
Overall, I'm not convinced the $125 price tag will be worth it to most exercisers.
