The Stretching Handbook is a comprehensive guide that gets right to the matter at hand. Brad Walker tells us why we should stretch, how we should stretch, and what stretches we should do. Brad writes in a friendly, straight-forward manner and provides plenty of real-life examples in this concise yet comprehensive text. The first half of the manual discusses the theories of stretching, physiology, how stretching can reduce injury, the different types of stretches, and proper technique. The second half of the book provides photos of athletes performing over 100 different stretches arranged by body part so there is no guess work. This easy reference will be well used, and referred to often. This compact handbook is a well written, easy to use, quick reference guide that every athlete should own.
