Surprising News on Low-Fat Diets

The long running Women's Health Initiative study results are in and they are creating a stir in the media. The study results found that women who switched to a low-fat diet later in life did not see a reduced risk of breast cancer, colorectal cancer or heart disease. The largest study of its kind ran 8 years and included 48,835 women over 50 who were randomly chosen to adopt either a low-fat diet or keep eating as normal.
