Moji Massager

Follow me on:

While browsing through the cycling section at REI this past week, I accidentally stumbled upon a new self-massager. The Moji 360 Massager, which also comes in a stripped down mini, palm-sized version.

I hadn't seen anything like this before and just had to give it a whirl right there in REI. I was impressed.  The varied pattern of over-sized steel ball-bearings (Moji calls them  chrome-plated steel spheres) gave a fabulous deep tissue massage without pulling on the skin like some foam rollers can.

I had just completed a 40 mile bike ride and was in a state of exercise-induced bliss, and muscle fatigue, but the Moji felt amazing. I would have picked it up on the spot except for a pretty hefty price-tag, and that fact that I wasn't yet convinced of the power of the Moji. I think my fatigued muscles were trying to influence my objectivity. I'll give it a few more spins before making a final decision on the Moji 360.

I like the hand held the best for small curved areas like shoulders, knees, calves. The 360 bar seems a bit big for self use. It is great to work on the back of your partner/friend though.
