Ganglion cysts are small round lumps typically on the wrist, but occasionally on a finger or top of a foot. They are nearly always harmless, but they can be painful. These fluid-filled lumps, often occur in or near the wrist when the synovial fluid leaks out from the joint spaces. If you find any such lump near your wrist, it's important to have this type of lump checked by your doctor to ensure it is simply a ganglion cyst, and if it is, there are a few simple methods to treat the structure.
