Fitness apps and gadgets get fancier every year and keep track of everything from your daily workout details to your calorie intake, heart rate and blood pressure. Some even tell you what exercise to do next.
Some of my favorite devices are still fairly basic, low-tech, gadgets that help build fitness the old fashioned way. While none of these fitness gadgets and devices can make you a better athlete all by themselves, some are great assistants and offer good advice and a friendly reminder to stick to your goals.
