Dealing with Road Rash

Road rash is, unfortunately, something most cyclists experience at some point in their life. Road rash is a skin abrasion usually caused by falling on a hard surface. As you fall and slide on the ground, friction causes the layers of skin to rub off. While a severe abrasion should be seen and cleaned by a physician, most abrasions can be cared for at home if you follow some basic abrasion treatment guidelines.
