Tips for Runners Age 40 and Up

If you are past 40 don't think you can't start running. Running is one of the faster and simplest ways to get fit, but before lacing up your shoes, you need to understand how being over 40 might affect your response to exercise and injury. Runners typically reach their prime fitness in their 20s and 30s. After about age 40 even elite runners see a decline in performance, but you can still get all the health benefits from running, if you take a few precautions.
