Is There a Best Time to Exercise?

Do you have a favorite time of day to exercise? Some studies might have you moving your workouts around to see if you can improve your speed or build more strength. Research, while limited and still controversial, seems to indicate that strength and endurance is higher in the afternoon, although morning exercisers are much more likely to stick with their training routine.

One thing that is agreed upon is that sleep deprivation can hinder sports performance.

In the winter in Minnesota (burr!) I love to run at mid-day especially if it is sunny. It’s most beautiful after it has snowed.
