How much exercise do you need? Well, it depends. . .

First, you have to consider your fitness goals and your interests. You also need to think about your current level of fitness and your health status. Finally, you need to be realistic and choose a fitness plan that will easily fit your lifestyle.

If all that consideration feels like too much work, you can keep it simply and follow the expert's advice.

If your main goal is to improve your health, most experts agree that moderate exercise for 30 minutes every other day is all you need.

If your goals extend beyond simple health improvement, you will need to adjust your exercise time, type and intensity accordingly.
