Officials Stop Chicago Marathon as Hundreds Suffer Heat Illness

Officials stopped the Chicago marathon Sunday after one runner died and hundreds of others suffered severe heat illness and other complications during the unseasonably warm conditions that approached 90 degrees. According to a New York Times article, race organizers tried to stop runners who hadn't yet made it half way, but confusion was the order of the day.
