Treating Skin Abrasions

Abrasions are common skin injuries usually caused by falling on a hard surface. As you fall and slide on the ground friction causes layers of skin to rub off. While a severe abrasion should be seen and cleaned by a physician, most abrasions can be cared for at home if you follow some basic guidelines.
