Back Exercises Not the Answer to Low Back Pain

A recent study found that general exercise may help ease lower back pain, but back specific exercises may not. Researchers followed almost 700 patients with low back pain for 18 months. They found that those who walked and got other forms of "recreational" exercise had a lower risk of pain over time. However, those who performed exercises specifically for their backs had more back pain over time.
