I get muscle cramps sometimes but last Sat. it was the worst pain ever. I find that it only goes away if I massage my leg for 30 min. which seems like forever.

I’ve been getting cramps in my calves for a number of years when I get to about 2 or 3 miles in my run. I’ve tried a lot of things to help but nothing seems to work. Perhaps it is the medication I am on ( tegretol and lamictal) as I am epileptic. The part I’m always surprised at is when I run 10, 15, 20 miles in hot weather training for a marathon it has never been a problem.

My husband woke up with a painful leg cramp in his calf that lasted for about 15 min. I felt helpless, so I quickly grabbed the computer and searched for help. A nurse on a website suggested to do acupressure. Gently pinch the area below your nose for about 1-2 min. She said it works 90% of the time. My husband tried it and I worked! Now I need to research some prevention!
